Lisa Perry has been a passionate collector of 1960’s vintage couture fashion and art for the last ten years and a lover of all things mod and modern since childhood. Lisa grew up in the suburbs of Chicago with Marimekko in her bedroom; a Saarinen filled living room and two-tone orange shag in her family room. Her mom favored caftans and her dad was doing drip paintings in their basement. She has fond memories of a childhood filled with a focus on fashion, art and design. Her family’s textile business also influenced Lisa and it’s no surprise that when it was time to go to college that Lisa chose the Fashion Institute of Technology in the heart of New York City, graduating with a degree in textile technology.
Lisa’s life is infused with her love of the 1960’s genre, melding her appreciation of that era’s art, fashion, and home design into a lifestyle and philosophy led by a unique aesthetic: clean lines, geometric shapes, primary colors, and minimalism all sprinkled with a sense of whimsy.
Lisa’s motivation for entering the world of design and starting a business has been the recognition and appreciation from others of her great style and creative spirit. Her point of view is clearly defined. With a successful launch at Jeffrey New York in the spring of 2007, today Lisa has three retail shops, her flagship store opened up in November 2009 on Madison Avenue in New York City. She also has seasonal shops in Palm Beach Florida, and Sag Harbor New York.
